Playing Close to the Danger

Last week I thought it would be fun to hike the volcanoes outside of Albuquerque. A thunderstorm was raging to the west and looked like it would blow north. 

It did not.

So whilst trying to not be lightning target practice, I managed to get one shot of the excitement. That bolt hit the ground about two miles off. This was a good example of learning the value of lightning safety after breaking all the rules.
